The influences: PADDY TUNNEY

Traditional Irish singer with a unique and highly-decorated style of singing, acquired from his mother, Brigid. Born in Glasgow in 1921, he returned as a child to the family home in Co. Fermanagh on the borders of the Irish Republic and Northern Ireland. In 1943 he was imprisoned for seven years in Belfast for IRA activities.
